I tried to put in "sunrise watching" several times on our itinerary, but was always crossed out.
I tried to put in "sunrise watching" several times on our itinerary, but was always crossed out.
Our bed was too comfy, and that waking up early was impossible.
It was past 4 pm.
We walked leisurely and followed the sun.
Some people would go across the stretch of White Beach, from Station 3 to Station 1.
But Boracay does not end there.
So we went further.
Further beyond Willy's Rock.
We passed by some high-end private resorts.
The beach seemed to be deserted.
The sand was still powdery here, but there were parts with lots of pebbles.
Even algae.
Or maybe the lumot season was approaching.
I saw this kid naked and sun burnt.
Playing on the sand. Dead serious.
He didn't care and look up to anyone that passed by.
I know we want serious moments like this, sometimes.
Where we can do what we want to do, and to not really care what people will have to say.
Hashtag, DeadSerious.
The sun poured its golden rays,
and broke its reflection on the water into subtle glimmer.
The sun continued to get low.
And we continued to walk.
The cross was the sign, and when you passed by a giant rattan turnip hanging by the coconut tree, it means you're almost at the edge.
We're almost to the other side.
This is the path less traveled, the road to Diniwid Beach.
And so here we goes.
Welcome to the other side of Boracay!
The Diniwid Beach.
This girl was piling up some rocks.
I wanted to ask her why or what these are for, but she was too busy. #DeadSerious.
I just let her be while I quietly took shots of her and her rocks.
Some sort of instant rock formation attraction.
Totally not fine sands.
But this part of the beach was serene.
And that array of white houses were the Nami Hotel.
Those tiny people on the raft were probably taunting someone to jump.
I suggested this cliff jumping to my friends. We even had this on our itinerary.
But later I realized that I will not be able to survive after the jump.
I know I'll resurface but I'm sure I'll sink back.
But still we keep The Spider House in our itinerary,
Thinking we could chill out there, have some beer, and get a perfect spot for sunset.
We then saw this guy ran around the shore,
then swam around,
dog paddling,
dog paddling,
then ran quickly back to the shore,
back to his family,
playing with their paws,
and kissing with their noses.
One of those sweet-awwwwing-sunset episode.

Then we found these girls. Even they were #DeadSerious.
They were probably busy finding treasures on these rocks.
It was already the golden hour.
We so wanted to have a spot on The Spider House, but they were already full.
We thought of going back to the cozy bar we passed by.
Those with the bean bags, and cute umbrellas, and lounge beds.
But before we can decide where the best spot might be,
we found ourselves back to those busy treasure hunter girls.
So we forget the beer.
We don't need the bean bags.
We were just standing there.
Watching the sun's last ray.
The best spot was simply everywhere.
When we had had enough of good shots,
we went back to our hotel, happy and satisfied for chasing the sun.
