Been playing and recording this over and over for weeks right after watching When Marnie Was There. Another wonderful Studio Ghibli film. It was sad but beautiful. I was struggling so hard not to cry at the last part, then burst out when this song started to play.
I fell in love with Priscilla Ahn's subtle voice so I tried to imitate it :-P Sorry, so much reverb. I know it does not give justice :-p
The guitars are easy and fun to play. I found the tab here:
About the cover:
Vocals and Guitar by me.
Reverb effect and edit through Acoustica Mixcraft.
"Would you cry if I die? Would you remember my face?"
I began crying at the end of the film, while the song was playing,
when Marnie was waving goodbye to Anna.
She looks energetic and very happy.
It just pulled my heartstrings.
Something about Marnie made me missed my mother.
She's giving us a reminder to never forget.
That they'll be happy and at peace when someone remembers them.
Anyway, here's a sketch of a sketch of Marnie that I made ;-)
